Graduate student Zhijie Zhou is from the Duke Kunshan master of environmental policy (iMEP) program.
A member of Dr. Binbin Li’s Biodiversity and Sustainability Lab, he is interested in biodiversity, socio-economic coupling and geospatial analytics.
He is an active member of the Duke Kunshan community, serving as a research assistant at DKU’s Environmental Research Center and working as a peer writing coach and teaching assistant for several courses.
Zhou, from Dalian in China, obtained the LEED AP for neighborhood development, a U.S. professional accreditation.
He will pursue a Ph.D. at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign Department of Geography and GIS, where he will continue to make contributions to the field of conservation and sustainability.
