Congratulations Class of 2022! Duke Kunshan University is excited to celebrate this year’s Class of 2022 commencement.
An online ceremony will be held at 8:30 a.m. (Beijing time) on Friday, May 20, 2022, to mark this momentous occasion.
Although everyone at DKU very much hoped to hold the ceremony in person and on campus, this has unfortunately proven impossible in light of the current COVID-19 situation.
The virtual commencement via Zoom will honor the many and diverse accomplishments of the Class of 2022.
Graduating students will be joined by family, faculty and staff in the online celebration, along with keynote speakers President Emeritus of Duke University Richard Brodhead and President of Westlake University Yigong Shi.
Both our inaugural undergraduate class and our graduate students from the Class of 2022 have been instrumental in making Duke Kunshan the university it has become, while also leaving a strong legacy for future students to build upon.
Duke Kunshan has collaborated with Duke University to allow DKU students and their guests who are able to attend an in-person ceremony at Duke to do so. Duke will host a reception and broadcast the DKU commencement, and the event in Durham will take place simultaneously with DKU’s virtual commencement.
Members of the Class of 2022 would be warmly welcomed back to Kunshan in May next year to take part in the 2023 commencement, where they would be recognized as 2022 graduates.
The entire DKU community is deeply proud of the Class of 2022 and admiration for all they have accomplished and overcome, including the unprecedented challenges posed by COVID-19, cannot be overstated.
